NW Gourmet Freezer Addition, Renton, WA

Constructed a 6,386 Square Foot freezer expansion to an existing operation food warehouse facility.  This was done with structural steel and Insulated Metal Panel construction and was performed on schedule while working around the owner’s operational truck dock facility in the immediate area.  Project included Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical tie-ins and included condensing units design and install and an in-floor glycol system.

Optimum Nutrition, Aurora, Illinois

These projects included a phased modernization and installation of packaging line for new dry whey lines. This included construction of both raw materials and overflow warehouses, multiple weigh stations, blenders, bag fillers, and case lines; including installation an automated packaging line.  Project support spaces were retrofitted to increase facility use and included new men’s changing room, expanded shoe changing area, and utilities including dust collection.

DFA Shuttle Yard, Clovis, New Mexico

The DFA Shuttle Yard consisted of a large 15-acre truck parking area of an 18-acre overall site, a main building with five truck bays for milk sampling and CIP of milk tanks for sanitization, and a separate semi-truck wash facility. The parking area was 15 acres of roller compacted concrete with lane and numbering system for easy truck location identification.  The main building included built out office space, a dispatch room, an onsite milk testing lab facility, and five epoxy coated truck bays with a platform system to allow access to the top of tankers. A high pressure chloride injection CIP system for sanitation of tankers controlled by HMI’s was also a main feature of the facility. Construction included a PH neutralized wastewater system, food grade piping, interior tenant improvement of office spaces and restrooms, package boilers, large air compressor and air distribution, and water softener system.

Washington Beef Expansion/Construction, Toppenish, WA

This new 75,000 sq. ft. beef processing facility and 10,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters is composed of site-cast concrete tiltup panels. The main production area for beef fabrication is lined with 4″ insulated liner panels, creating a sanitary, washable cooler box. The ceiling in the fabrication area is 5″ double skinned insulated liner panel suspended from the structure above, creating a 10′ interstitial space for all mechanical, electrical and refrigeration utilities. A 400′ cooling tunnel connects the new production area to the existing slaughter facility. This refrigerated area is insulated within the concrete panels using the “thermo-mass” or “sandwich” panel system. All production area floors are polyester coated and sloped to precast polyester trench drains or 1100r drains for easy clean-up.
